The deviant Pluto & the lore of Scorpio

Pluto lost its status as a planet because it does not follow a traditional circular orbit around the Sun like other planets do, even though it is larger than many. Pluto carves its own unique path. It seems that our definition of the solar system revolves around planets orbiting the Sun in a predictable, orderly manner. Anything that does not conform to these standards is disowned. If the Sun represents authority and power in our consciousness, the same principle applies to human society.

Pluto does not follow the traditional orbit, and Scorpio refuses to be a slave to the system. However, they are not the same kind of rebels as Aquarius. Aquarius opposes Leo, the Sun, through the rule of duality and often becomes what it resists. Pluto, on the other hand, does not oppose—it transcends. Similarly, Scorpio does not directly challenge authority; it simply crosses the lines drawn by it. This “rebellion” is fluid, like water, adapting when necessary. Pluto still orbits the Sun—it just does so in its own way. Scorpio understands that rigidity leads to breaking. They bend when needed, but never as an act of submission to authority. This makes Scorpio more of a mastermind than a mere rebel.

Scorpios see beyond the obvious. They recognize that light can reveal only half-truths or illusions. They understand that systems are designed to serve specific groups of people. They know that prohibitions often exist to gatekeep power, ensuring that certain knowledge remains in the hands of a privileged few. Thus, they find the courage to explore the shadows—something the Sun resents. After all, the Sun preaches, “Let there be light.”

Pluto moves slowly, not to disrupt the synchronized chaos of the cosmos but to revel in it. And so do Scorpios.

Scorpio is not just about the shadow; it is about pursuing desires—especially those deemed deviant. Scorpios break rules subtly, often without notice. Or better yet, they get what they want without technically defying expectations. Breaking norms is not the goal—fulfilling desire is.

There is a fixed narrative about how life should be lived.

The Sun declares, “I sustain you. Therefore, you must obey me.”

And everyone complies—except Pluto, who smiles and replies, “Your honor, I acknowledge your power. But I cannot conform.”

The Sun frowns, “You set a bad example. I will tarnish your reputation.”

Pluto accepts its fate and continues along its unique orbit.
